About this artwork. The work depicts a small sheep pen located in the village of Hadash, lost among the Hajar mountain range. For these lands, grazing and keeping their own sheep is an integral part of life and part of the daily routine, thanks to which you get food, clothing and many household items. This process is inextricably integrated into the surrounding landscape, just as this small pen is a symbiotic continuation of the rocks, mountains and grasses. The dry trunk and the spreading greenery around it reflect the natural cycle of life and the fact that everything has its place — no one here would think of keeping the tree green for as long as possible — here, each cycle has its own beauty. The steps invite you to climb them, open the door and see the beauty of this cycle with your own eyes, as well as remember what you deeply understand to be your testimony of prosperity.
Life, nature and the artist put this life on a short pause so that you can close your eyes, climb the steps and open them in a world where a measured life has been going on for centuries, celebrating its continuity.
