About this artwork.
The painting tells the story of generational continuity through the history of a small house where several generations of one family live in the village of Hadash, hidden among the rocky ridges of the Hajar mountain range. This family nest is the fruit of the labour of those who have lived there, and it will undoubtedly reflect the efforts of future generations as well.

Yet the most truthful narrator here is not the solidly built walls, nor the cleanliness maintained day after day, but the beautiful pomegranate tree, nurtured by caring hands and a kind heart. It takes many decades to grow a magnificent, spreading tree that yields juicy red fruit each year, and this remarkable family has clearly succeeded in doing so.

The work invites you to pause before this house and reflect on the legacy you are leaving behind and the fruit of your own family’s generations of work. It encourages you to breathe in the scent of the dense, flourishing tree, to hear the birds singing in its branches, to feel the harmony between nature and human life, and to experience this living testimony to the continuity of generations.
